Culture Identity and Society are prevalent concepts throughout this class. In order to understand rhetoric is in important to understand the culture that we live in as well as the society that we live in along with the identity of the audience that views the rhetoric. All of the concepts in this course are interrelated. It is imperative to understand all of them to understand one of them. At a Glance pg. 174

I liked taking in the paper as a whole and taking in the big picture. It helped with understanding the problems I had with the fluidity of the entire paper. Normally I would have taken the paper in sentence by sentence. I also like reading a hard copy better than on the screen. It is easier to analyze the paper as if I was in the place of the audience instead of actually reading my own paper. I do not like to revise out of order because the paper will not be read out of order.

Plagiarism

Starting when a person starts to write essays they are told not to copy each other and then not to plagiarize. It is important to avoid plagiarism because obviously in the simplest terms it is cheating and as students and as a person we have an academic and moral responsibility for our actions. Another obvious reason it is important to not plagiarize is because you could fail or get a zero on the assignment. Deeper than that, plagiarizing devalues the efforts of the original author. It is hard for many people to see things from a different perspective. Would you want someone to turn in your work that you worked hard on? It "cheats yourself" as many people say because you do not learn anything by plagiarizing.
