Visual Rhetoric Example

I will use a few ads from the Nike Just Do It campaign for my example for visual rhetoric.
pg. 21
1. The images do try to persuade the audience.
2. There are sufficient elements to analyze.
3. The intended audience are athletes.
4. I think that the author is trying to prove that their brand is the best or the toughest.

Thesis
The three Nike Just Do It ads all motivate the audience to give an extra effort when competing in athletics which implies that Nike gives and extra effort in making their products.

  1. A good start for your thesis - you have claim but your reasons need to relate to the visual elements of the ads. Do the ads focus your attention on motivation though the use of framing? They are all similar in framing, but focus on different sports, athletes, and activities. How do they still depict a similar message?
